Unionville Fair Queen and Princess to be picked
EAST MARLBOROUGH — The first event of the 88th annual Unionville Fair is the much-anticipated crowning of the fair Queen and fair Princess, which will take place Thursday night at Unionville Elementary School.
The pageant kicks off at 7 p.m.
In addition to developing skills and relationships, the Unionville Fair Queen will receive a cash scholarship of $500, the Queen Alternate receives $300, the Fair Princess receives $100 and the Princess Alternate is awarded $50.
The contestant that is crowned queen will go on to the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs (PSACF) Queen contest in Hershey, PA in January 2013.
Becky Jones was named the 2011 Fair Queen. 2010 winner Claire Werkiser went on to be named Pennsylvania State Fair Queen.
