West Chester man named Railroad Museum volunteer of the year
STRASBURG — The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania announced that West Chester resident Stu Jack as volunteer of the year for 2017. Jack was selected by the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s board of directors from among the Museum’s corps of more than 150 active volunteers for this honor.

PECO to spend $1.8M on tree/vegetation trimming
PECO customers in northwestern Chester County will benefit from a $1.8 million investment to trim trees and remove vegetation along 352 miles of aerial electric lines. This work, which will begin in early January, will be completed by the end of March and will improve electric service for 22,000 customers.
