Patton boys hold off Scott

PAtton Middle School's 8th Grade boys basketball team won a tough contest last week against Scott Middle School.

EAST MARLBOROUGH — On Wednesday, January 25th,  Scott Middle School of Coatesville traveled down beautiful route 82 to Patton Middle School In Unionville.  The end result for the 8th grade team from Coatesville was a loss of 44-27 but there are a couple of stars in the making at Scott.

Wearing number 31, Andre Pittman, standing 6’3 stood out by being all over the court and blocking many of Patton’s shots and jumping higher than any of the kids on the paint.  Dalton Donovan sunk three- three pointers in the first quarter of the game and acted the part of a natural team leader for Scott.  Donovan was taken out with a muscle strain in the third quarter which hurt the Sharks’ attack on the Hawks.

Coach Baumgartner of Patton utilized all of his talent for the victory and on Thursday the Hawks will travel for their third game of the week down route 322 to Chichester.  Earlier in the week the 8th grade team from Patton suffered a loss of 34-40 to South Brandywine from Coatesville.

The seventh grade team from Patton won over South Brandywine and Scott last week.
