CHADDS FORD —  The upcoming Chadds Ford Art Sale & Show is known for its popular raffles which feature art by talented Brandywine Valley artists.  This year’s raffles will include artwork by N.C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth.  Founded by Betsy Wyeth in 1949, the Chadds Ford Art Sale & Show has long-held ties with the Chadds Ford-based Wyeth family.

Each year, a “Donating Artist” creates artwork specifically for the Chadds Ford Art Sale & Show.  This year’s Donating Artist is John Hannafin of West Chester.  Hannafin’s unique oil on canvas titled “Birmingham Schoolhouse” is a plein air work of the historic schoolhouse located at Birmingham and Meetinghouse Roads in Chadds Ford.

Additional raffles will include works by artists Elizabeth Domoter, Diane Heitzmann, Monica Markarian, Patricia Reese, Paul Scarborough, Ann Thompson and Kelly Watson.

This year’s “Featured Artist” is Richard Bollinger of West Chester, a distinguished artist whose work is featured in 125 galleries across America. His featured piece, “Evening At North Farm,” is a beautiful watercolor depicting the bucolic countryside of the Brandywine River Valley.

The Art Sale & Show will open on Friday evening with a complimentary reception where patrons can “meet the artists” while enjoying live classical music and complimentary hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants including Carrabbas Italian Grill, Floga Bistro, Mile High Steakhouse, PF Changs, Pat’s Pizzeria, Pescatores, Pure Bread Deli, Sovana Bistro and many more.
