Suspect sought after bank robbery in Kennett Sq.

Authorities seeking this man, who they say robbed a Kennett Square bank Friday morning.

KENNETT SQUARE — Authorities are seeking a man thought to have robbed a borough bank Friday morning, escaping on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan said in a statement Friday that a bank robbery took place at approximately 8:50 A.M at the Santander Bank, on W. Cypress St.

The suspect is described at a 5’6” male with medium build. The suspect was reportedly wearing a zip up grey hoodie with a “PUMA” logo on the left chest. The suspect had a short goatee and wore blue jeans, a black Eagles hat, and sunglasses. 

The suspect entered the bank at approximately 8:50 A.M. and announced a hold up, police said.The suspect allegedly stole cash and placed it in a blue canvas bag with black straps. The suspect, authorities said, gave the teller the impression that he had a weapon or explosive. The suspect fled the bank on foot.

Kennett Square Police are being assisted by the Chester County Detectives, the Pennsylvania State Police, the New Garden Township Police, and the Kennett Township Police.
