Artist will discuss how animals affect her work, technique

The public is invited to hear a presentation by artist Sandra Severson on Saturday at the Chester County Art Association.

Severson’s gallery talk at 1 p.m. will involve her current solo exhibition: ”Living Among Us: Glimpses from the Animal Realm.”  She will discuss her work, her technique, and thematic pre-occupations.  A question-and-answer session will follow.

Severson says of her collection of paintings on view that she feels the animals are “sharing something of themselves and their world” with her.  The show contains 40 recent oil paintings, including some of Severson’s most extravagant commissions.  The exhibition continues through April 19.

The Chester County Art Association (CCAA) is located at 100 N. Bradford Ave., West Chester, PA 19382.  It is open 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; admission is free.
