The Chester County Art Association is hosting a daylong trip to Washington, D.C., on April 10.

View some of the country’s finest art through the lens of the Chester County Art Association, which is hosting a bus trip to the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., on April 10.

In addition to a private tour of the galleries, participants will be treated to a sketching session in the portrait gallery, said a news release from the association.

The cost of the trip is $45. Departure is scheduled for 8:30 a.m., with a return about 9:30 p.m. For more details, call 610-696-5600, ext. 13

The Chester County Art Association, located at 100 N. Bradford Ave., West Chester, is open 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; admission is free.  Currently on display through April 19 are two exhibits, a juried show, “Poetic Landscapes,” and a solo show of paintings by Sandra Severson,Living Among Us: Glimpses from the Animal Realm.

The association’s Exton Square Studio is located on the first floor of the Exton Square Mall near Boscov’s. Hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 The Chester County Art Association is a non-profit, cultural organization that has been promoting participation in the arts through quality instruction, exhibitions, and community outreach since 1931.
