Lions Club plans frightfully fun fund-raiser

Annual Halloween-themed event will benefit local nonprofits

Don’t be scared off by the title: The Third Annual Fright Feast on Oct. 20 benefits monstrously good causes and offers a screamingly entertaining evening.

Sponsored by the Kennett Square Lions Club’s Morning Branch, the popular annual fund-raiser will be held from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at Northbrook Marketplace. The Halloween-themed event will feature food, costume competitions, tarot card readings, a silent auction and door prizes.

This year’s beneficiaries are Canine Partners for Life, an organization that trains and places service dogs; Camp Dreamcatcher, which  provides therapeutic and educational services for children infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS; and Lions sight-related charities.

Admission, which includes food, wine, and beer, is $50 per person. Tickets can be purchased through Mike Miller at 484-888-2206 or Patty Hillkirk at 610-716-0476, Canine Partners for Life at 610-869-4902, ext. 214, or by visiting www.campdreamcatcher.org. Northbrook Marketplace is located at 1805 Unionville-Wawaset Road in Pocopson Township.
