Radley Run hosts World War II event Nov. 16.

Proceeds to benefit Wounded Warrior Project

BIRMINGHAMThe third annual Radley Run Country Club fall seminar will feature a presentation on World War II European and Pacific battles and major events.  The event will also recognize local veterans and some will participate in the seminar.

The event is open to the public and takes place on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at 6:00pm at the Radley Run clubhouse, 1100 Country Club Road, West Chester.  The cost is $20 and reservations can be made by calling 610-793-1660.  Seating is limited and reservations are strongly advised.

All World War II veterans who make a reservation will be able to attend the seminar free.  The general public will be able to purchase dinner at Radley after the presentation.  All profits of the event will be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.  Information on the charity can be found at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.  The charity is approved by the U.S. Veterans Administration and provides service to soldiers injured in combat.

The main presentation will be given by Dr. Joseph L. Strange, who was professor of strategic studies of the Marine Corps College from 1990 to 2007.

“Veterans of World War II should be recognized for their courage and sacrifices,” said Joseph Mendez, General Manager of Radley Run Country Club.  “World War II is one of the pivotal times in the history of the United States and the world.  We are hoping to fill Radley Run on November 16th.”
