State Police respond to Dunkin’ Donuts robbery

Suspect apprehended in East Marlborough Twp.

EAST MARLBOROUGH – According to the PA State Police – Avondale Barracks, a township man faces charges from an alleged robbery, Monday, at the Dunkin’ Donuts, located on US-1, in East Marlborough Township.

The East Marlborough Dunkin’ Donuts remained closed yesterday afternoon in response to the active crime scene investigation.

It is reported that at approximately 12:07 PM, Stephen Matthew Cote, 25, allegedly implied possessing a weapon to Dunkin’ Donuts employees.  Cote proceeded to flee the store, on foot, with an undisclosed amount of US currency.

Based upon the description employees provided, Cote was located by the State Police within 30 minutes of the alleged incident, in close proximity to the crime scene.  Motorists travelling US-1 reported a large police presence surrounding the Dunkin Donuts midday Monday.  As of late afternoon, the popular coffee shop and eatery remained closed, in response to the ongoing crime scene investigation.
