The Christian C. Sanderson Museum on Creek Road in Chadds Ford is now open for the 2014 season.

CHADDS FORD — That gem of both Southeast Pennsylvania history and that of the better part of the 20th Century of American History — the Christian C. Sanderson Museum — is now open for the 2014 season, on Thursdays through Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm.

“We look forward to welcoming visitors to the Sanderson Museum to enjoy Chris’ wonderful collection.” said museum President Sue Minarchi.  “Now that we have expanded our hours and are open Thursday through Sunday, it will give visitors who want to visit during the week an opportunity to enjoy the museum.  As always, we are delighted to welcome individuals or groups on other days of the week by appointment.”

The Sanderson Museum represents a man’s life and a nation’s history. It contains an eclectic array of art, military memorabilia, presidential artifacts, local history, and collectibles.

Open March through November, Thursday through Sunday, 12 pm to 4 pm or by appointment. Visit the museum at 1755 Creek Road, Chadds Ford, just north of US-1.

Admission to the museum is $5 per person and free for members and children under 12 accompanied by an adult. For more information, call the museum at 610-388-6545 or go to the website at www.sandersonmuseum.org.
