Pocopson Township Treasurer Peggy Lennon is also the editor of the township's newsletter, which was recently honored by the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors.

POCOPSON — The township has been recognized for its successful ability to communicate with its residents via the township newsletter, but now that recognition is a bit more formal.

On Monday, during the Board of Supervisors meeting, Supervisors offered congratulations – giving the credit to newsletter Editor and township Treasurer, Peggy Lennon.

The township received the third place award for its entry in the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors’ 44th Annual Township Citizen Communication Contest.

Lennon says the majority of the information contained in the township newsletter is submitted by committee members, township employees and interested residents. She then compiles, rewrites, adds supporting information and manages the final product, in addition to fulfilling her treasury duties…no small task!

The annual contest recognizes townships that have successfully communicated programs and activities to its citizens. To view past township newsletters, go to www.pocopson.org.
