The American Helicopter Museum and Education Center (AHMEC) will be hosting PRIDE: LGBTQ+ Voices in Aviation! on Saturday, June 28, from 1 – 4pm.
The event will feature a number of aviation, academic, and community LGBTQ+ groups, including the Association of Professional Flight Attendants, the Association of Flight Attendants, PFLAG – West Chester Chapter, West Chester University’s Center for Trans and Queer Advocacy, and the LGBT Equality Alliance of Chester County. These organizations will provide visitors to connect with aviation professionals within the industry and discover valuable community resources.
At 3 pm, Keturah Johnson, a U.S. combat veteran and the AFA-CWA International Vice President, and Pride at Work’s National Executive Board Secretary will give a presentation and Q/A session that is open to all visitors.
This event is family-friendly, open to the public during museum hours, and geared towards students, aviation enthusiasts, and professionals. Admission to this event is included in general admission to the museum, and is free for members.
