Phoenixville upgrades 16 electric vehicle chargers

The Borough of Phoenixville recently upgraded 16 of their existing electric vehicle (EV) chargers to Generation 3 Tesla chargers in several Borough-owned parking lots. The Borough partnered with All Phase Electric to install the chargers, which offer two charging plugs; one fitted with the standard Tesla charging adapter and the other with an integrated adapter for universal charging. Eight (8) of the 16 upgraded chargers are located in the Borough’s Taylor Alley lot and the other eight (8) upgraded chargers are located in the Mill Street Parking Lot. Both of these lots are within walking distance of downtown.

In addition to the 16 upgraded Tesla Chargers, the Borough has additional EV charging stations available. To learn more about parking in the Borough, please visit phoenixville.org/parkingmap.

Since committing to transition to 100% clean and renewable energy by the year 2035, the Borough has been diligently working to install EV chargers in its parking lots as well as at its Fire Station and Recreation Center. The Borough also continues to work with local developers, encouraging them to install EV chargers in their own parking areas.
