KACS to launch 13th Annual Empty Bowls Event Feb. 23

Kennett Area Community Service (KACS) – Almost 70 years ago, KACS delivered their first holiday food baskets to families living in Kennett Square. Today, with the support of area businesses, community members, partner agencies, funders, and volunteers, KACS provides crisis services, housing stability, food, and an educational path forward for individuals, families, and seniors living in Southern Chester County.

The Empty Bowls project is an international grassroots initiative that took root here in Kennett Square over a decade ago and is a collective effort to raise money and awareness in the fight to end hunger and feed hope.

Monthly, KACS Food Cupboard serves over 2,000 individuals with healthy, nutritious food, and 100 households receive case management services from the KACS Social Services Team. KACS also provides a path forward with Bridges Out of Poverty, a series of workshops to support those moving out of poverty to find long-term stability. Help KACS end poverty for our most vulnerable neighbors.

Please join us for KACS 13th Annual Empty Bowls on February 23rd for lunch (12:00-2:00pm), dinner (6:00-8:00pm), or take-out (3:00-5:00pm). Your Empty Bowls ticket includes a light meal of soup, salad, bread, and dessert, and you can choose your handmade bowl created especially for KACS Empty Bowls by local artists. There will be raffles, an online auction, and other fun activities.

KACS continues to positively impact our community – giving life to the hopes and dreams of our most vulnerable neighbors.

Tickets are available online at www.KACSImpact.org/empty-bowls.

Thank you for helping KACS help our neighbors in need.
