Holiday Super Six: gifts galore!

Great ideas for gifts, for you or someone you love

KellyColumn415Newest815It’s December, which means it’s time for my HOLIDAY version of the Sunday Super Six! I have a very glam list for you this month. Some you will want, others (specifically one) you will probably not…

  • My husband has learned over the years that he can never go wrong if he buys me a coat, sneakers, handbag, or watch for a gift. What can I say? I’m a “simple” girl. I would take any one of those things under the tree, but my preference is this cute, grey, fur trimmed jacket from JCrew Factory. Under $150, it is the perfect weight and the style can easily transition from casual to dressy. Available in a variety of colors! Click here: http://bit.ly/1KulwAz

  • I am determined to switch things up in my exercise routine for 2016. The Kennett Y has a TRX class on the schedule that costs a few extra dollars above the normal monthly fee but seems to be a new and intriguing challenge. The class features a suspension training system designed to build lean muscles and improve mobility and flexibility. As a cardio junkie with an aversion to spending time in the weight room…it sounds like this just might work for me. Check it out : http://bit.ly/1IM9t24
  • December-2015I am a self-professed accessories addict. If I could grow another arm to accommodate my evergrowing bracelet obsession, I would. These trinkets from theyallhateus.com are my new favs. With 3 different sayings: Best Friends, Girl Gang, and They All Hate Us at just under $30 a pop, you can justify buying a few to layer. I think they make an adorable gift for your bestie. Click here: http://bit.ly/1SFrrca
  • Have you always wanted to learn the tips and tricks of applying makeup like the professionals do? Well, you’re in luck! This Wednesday, December 9th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Houppette Cosmetic Boutique (right here in downtown Kennett) is hosting a Bare Minerals Master Class with Master Trainer, Janel Derrick! Janel has been in the industry for over 13 years and has quite an impressive resume. From Fashion Week to Glamour magazine, this lady knows her stuff and we get to reap the benefits of her expertise! Sign up by calling the store at #4847328451. There is a $50 class fee BUT that is then redeemable in product! LOVE that. See you there!
  • Men’s Night at No.109 shop happens this Thursday, December 10th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm! Hurry in to the store to create a wish list for your special fella to refer to while he shops in style. Complimentary bourbon, beer, wine, and tasty treats from Cocina Lolo (hello? sounds amazing) as well as professional models and gift wrapping on site are all part of the event. I mean, it’s basically like giving him the direct line to Santa’s workshop. 109 W. State Street. RSVP to #6109250109.
  • A new washer and dryer? Is that on your Christmas list? No? I wish that I didn’t need to include it on mine. Unfortunately, the set I have now is not being very cooperative when it comes to washing sweaty basketball clothes. I am sick and tired of my front loader and am going back to the traditional top loading version. I want nothing fancy. But, even the cheapest versions cost too much to make it seem like a fun present for under the tree. Boooooo! But, I suppose this is what a grownup holiday looks like sometimes. Does anyone have a washer/dryer set that they love? I would appreciate your advice.

Happy Holiday shopping! I hope I have given you a few, out of the box ideas to kick start your list.
