State police investigating theft of display model at retailer

Image 2An alleged theft at Sears Hardware in the 800 block of East Baltimore Pike in East Marlborough Township is under investigation, said state police from the Avondale barracks. Police said a sales consultant noticed on Saturday, May 10, that the display Dyson vacuum was missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 610-268-2022.

Troopers from the Avondale barracks are investigating a theft from the Hand and Stone Spa in the 100 block 0f East Marlborough Township, state police said. Police said someone entered the business from the rear entrance at 10:27 p.m. on Friday, May 2, and stole approximately $1,000.

State police from the Embreeville barracks said harassment charges were filed against Patrick K. Chase, 58, of Newlin Township for an incident that occurred on May 5 and 6 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 12:12 a.m. in the 1300 block of Brandywine Creek Road.

On Thursday, March 27, an Avondale man was found intoxicated in a construction trash bin, said state police from the Avondale barracks. Police said Brian M. Feeney, 33, was found at 4:15 p.m. in a Dumpster at the Hilton Garden Inn in the 800 block of East Baltimore Pike in East Marlborough Township.

A Delaware County man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance on Thursday, March 27, at 9 a.m. in East Marlborough Township, state police said. Benjamin T. Griffith, 34, of Prospect Park, was arrested in the 100 block of Glenieg Farm Drive, police said.
