The Unionville Recreation Association will be holding a series of weekly softball skills clinics for players ranging in age from eight to 14 during the first three months of 2014.
There will be URA Softball fielding and hitting Clinics (girls Age 8-14) every Saturday in January (4,11,18,25), February (1,8,15,22) and March (1,8,15,22) at Avondale Presbyterian Church on Rt. 41 in Avondale. Three afternoon clinics will be conducted that are grouped by age (8-9, 10-12, 11-14). Julia Hatfield will teach fundamentals of throwing, fielding and hitting. In addition, there will be a URA Softball pitching clinic (girls Age 8-13) every Saturday in January (4,11,18,25), February (1,8,15,22) and March (1,8,15,22,29) at Avondale Presbyterian Church on Rt. 41 in Avondale from 2 pm to 3 pm. Ashley (Sosack) Cooper will teach Fundamentals of pitching.
Finally, there will also be URA Softball catchers’ clinics (girls Age 8-13) every Saturday in January (4,11,18,25), February (1,8,15,22) and March (1,8,15,22) at Avondale Presbyterian Church on Rt. 41 in Avondale from 2 pm to 3 pm. Julia Hatfield will teach fundamentals of catching.
