State police investigating Pocopson Twp. burglary

Electronics allegedly stolen from home in 700 block of Isaac Taylor Drive

PoliceBlotterTroopers from the Avondale barracks are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between 4 and 6:20 a.m. on Oct. 26 in Pocopson Township, state police said. Police said someone entered a residence in the 700 block of Isaac Taylor Drive and took numerous electronic devices; anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-268-2022.

On Oct. 28 between 12:30 and 1:10 p.m., someone entered a Pocopson Township residence in the 1600 block of Waterglen Drive through an unlocked rear door, state police said. A jewelry box and jewelry were taken, police said, adding that anyone with information should call the barracks at 610-268-2022.

A farm tractor was stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Laurel Road in Newlin Township sometime between 11 p.m. on Oct. 26 and 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 27, state police from the Embreeville barracks said.  Anyone who might have witnessed the theft is asked to call police at 484-340-3241 and reference incident number J03-1419022.

State police from the Embreeville barracks are also investigating a theft that reportedly occurred sometime between noon on Oct. 12 and 2 p.m. on Oct. 13. Police said someone removed an orange 1990 Kubota B2150 tractor and pole tent from outside a residence in the 600 block of Laurel Road in Newlin Township. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 610-486-6280, referencing the incident number, which is JO3-1417891.

A 26-year-old Kennett Square resident faces charges in connection with a two-vehicle accident on Rt. 82, north of East Locust Street, in East Marlborough Township on Oct. 18 at 7:08 p.m., state police from the Avondale barracks said. Police said Jose J. Romero-Rodriguez was traveling north in a 2011 Nissan Sentra when he rear-ended a 2010 Nissan Murano before striking a pole. A passenger in the Murano sustained minor injury, police said. Romero-Rodriguez was charged with driving under the influence and cited for driving too fast for conditions, police said.
