Reception features art of Unionville artist

KENNTT SQUARE — The public is invited to an opening night reception on Friday March 4 from 6 to 9 pm at The Paper Market Eco Boutique, 106 W. State Street in Kennett Square.

The show features mixed media, watercolors and oil pastels by Unionville artist Charlene Thomforde. It coincides with the March “First Friday” program hosted by the merchants of downtown Kennett Square and will remain on view through the end of March.  The show marks the beginning of the 2011 series of changing exhibits featuring works by Kennett area artists.
Ms. Thomforde was trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and studied with the late Rea Redifer. She received a BFA in graphic design with certification in Art Education grades K-12  from the Tyler School of Art. She attends workshops and life drawing sessions and is a member of the Howard Pyle Studio Group in Wilmington, DE.  Her work has been shown at the
Chester County Art Association, Salon Des Amis in Yellow Springs, PA, Brush and Palette in Kennett Square, The Chadds Ford Historical Society, and The Howard Pyle Studio Gallery.
The Paper Market Eco Boutique, owned and operated by Doug Harris, represents a fine collection of greeting cards, journals, photo albums, wax seals, and designer stationery from around the world.
