Unionville baseball stops Avon Grove, 5-3

Unionville’s Andrew Jones pitched six strong innings to lead the Indians to a 5- win over Avon grove, Monday.

Indians improve to 7-1 in league play

EAST MARLBOROUGH — The Unionville High School baseball team moved to 7-1 in the Ches-Mont league with a 5-3 win over visiting Avon Grove, Monday.

Andrew Jones pitched a complete game for the win giving up six hits and striking out two. Kyle Fries hit a two-run home run in the first scoring Nick Ward who led off the game with a single. Kyle Langerhans was 2-for-3 and Drew Jarmuz finished 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI.

The Indians (7-2, 7-1) next game is home on Wednesday against Oxford.
