Unionville’s Kate Mims crushed a two-run homer in the eighth inning to lead the Indians past Sun Valley, 10-8.
ASTON — Unionville High School junior Kate Mims smacked a two-run homer in the eighth inning to give the Indians a 10-8 win over Sun Valley, Wednesday.
Unionville’s (2-4) offense really got cranked up, combining for 13 hits. Madi Ross was 3-for-3 with a home run. Amy Large had two doubles with three runs scored and two RBI, while picking up the win on the mound. Mims finished the day 3 for 5.
The Indians host Kennett on Friday.
