Artwork from 85 professional and a 85 student artists to be featured
EAST MARLBOROUGH — The 37th Annual Unionville High School Art Gala kicks off Friday evening with a special reception and continues Saturday, showcasing some of the area’s top artists and well as the work of the talented students at Unionville High School.
The 2012 featured artist is Doug Mooberry, but works by dozens of local artists will be available to buy or via auction, during show hours Friday night and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 40 pieces of work will be available as part of a silent auction that ends Saturday at 2 p.m.
Virtually all forms of visual art will be featured, including paintings, jewelry, photography, sculpture, and iron works.
A special feature this year: Local Artist Robert C. Jackson will speak about his work and show three of his stop action films in the LGI in the Art Wing!
The Art Gala is a one of the area’s top art events. Proceeds from the weekend fund educational projects and programs in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District.
