Unionville girls advance to tournament final

Indians knock off Frankford, 54-39, play Haverford Wednesday night

EAST MARLBOROUGH —Unionville’s girls’ basketball team enjoyed a fairly easy win over Frankford, Tuesday — and now is poised to play for the Unionville Holiday Tournament title, Wednesday night.

The Indians defeated Frankford 54-39 and advance to the UHS holiday tournament championship game on Wednesday at 7:30PM.  The team lead 31-20 at halftime and increased the lead to as many as 16 in the second half after Frankford cut the lead to 8 early in the 3rd quarter.

Unionville was lead by Moira McEvoy’s 14 points and 11 rebounds.  Susie Pancoast had 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Cami Redfern scored 10 points with 3 baskets from beyond the arc.  Alison Lewis added 8 points and 5 assists.  Kelsey Mcdonald had 4 ponts and 4 rebounds.  Corrine Blue added 6 points.  The Indians scored 32 points in the paint tonight and dominated inside play.   The team will now face Haverford High School in the championship game
