Pony up to the 6th Annual Polo Cup

Benefit funds latest technology for Chester County Hospital

Mallet maestros maneuvering pounding hooves comprise just one of the many featured elements of the 6th Annual Chester County Hospital Polo Cup, which will be held June 10 at the Brandywine Polo Club in Toughkenamon.

A polo match energizes the crowd at the Chester County Hospital's Polo Cup.

The popular fund-raiser not only offers a chance to view the “sport of kings,” but it also provides spectators an opportunity to support the Women’s Auxiliary’s “On the Cutting Edge” pledge to the hospital. The auxiliary finances the latest life-saving equipment in the hospital’s surgical and anesthesia units.

This year, tailgating and festivities begin at 1:30 p.m., and the match starts at 3 p.m. Pack a picnic or purchase a special ticket for entrance into the VIP tent, where food and beverages will be served. General admission tickets, which include parking and one free raffle ticket, are $25 each in advance, $40 at the gate; children 16 and under are free. VIP tickets are available for $125 apiece, and sponsorship opportunities are also available.

Creative hats always add a fashionable flair to the Chester County Hospital's summer fund-raiser.

Other activities include a silent auction, multiple raffles, a selection of vendors, live music, a themed hat contest, and a Kids’ Korral with magic, balloons and crafts.

Credit cards and checks will be accepted, and tickets purchased after June 4 will be held at the gate. If the event is rained out, tickets, which are non-refundable, may be used for another match during the season. In case of inclement weather, call the Polo Club at 610.268.8692.
