KENNETT SQUARE — The fourth Annual New Years Day Run was held at Anson B. Nixon Park on an unusually warm winter day. Johnathon Ganly of Kennett led the 60 participants to first place overall. (20:52) Erinn Menninger of Unionville was first woman and second overall. (Erinn set the woman’s course record 20:59) The race was 3 miles for the runners and 1.5 miles for the walkers. All participants received random prizes and there was no cost to enter! The top ten finishers all won Giant Hersheys Chocolate Bars which is a tradition for this low-key fun run.
