Unionville boys LAX smothers WC East, 16-4

Unionville High School's boys' lacrosse team shut out West Chester East in the first half on the way to an easy win, Tuesday.

EAST MARLBOROUGH —The Unionville High School boys lacrosse team stymied West Chester East in the first half en route to a 16-4 win, Tuesday.

Richard Kaiser and Jake Quinn led the Indians in scoring with 3 goals each. Unionville’s 16 goals were scored by 10 different players (Kaiser-3, Quinn-3, Gausch-2, Donovan-2, Aprezzese-1, South-1, Mushnick-1, Kelly-1, Piper-1, Moss-1).

Goalies Baker and Hartley had 5 and 2 saves respectively.

Mike Sundry and Richie O’Neill had great defensive games.  James Moss played both attack and midfield for the Indians. Jack O’Neill won the majority of the face-offs against East.

At the end of the first half, the Indians were leading 11-0.  The Indians allowed 2 goals each in the 3rd and fourth quarters with a final score Unionville 16 – West Chester East 14.

This coming Saturday the Unionville Indians will be competing in the HEADstrong tournament at Widener University to help raise money for Cancer.
