Art, plants, exercise and tons of fun and creativity await visitors to Pocopson Elementary’s Annual Art and Garden celebration.

Outdoor activities will kick off at 9 a.m. with registration for the Fun Run; kindergarten through second grade starts at 9:30 a.m. followed by third to fifth grade at 9:45 a.m. Wristbands – $5 for one child, $8 for two, or $10 for a family of three or more – will provide entry to nonstop games and features, including a moon bounce obstacle course, sack races, spin art, fuzzy magnets, and more.

Inside, imaginative creations will reign with vendor and kids’ craft tables showcasing a variety of artistic endeavors during the Art and Garden show and sale, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A painted desk and chair, a gardening package, and a handmade cookie jar are among this year’s homeroom donations, one of the event’s eagerly awaited features. One hundred percent of the proceeds from these class projects, class baskets, and teacher treasures fund classroom activities throughout the year.

In addition, food and plants will also be for sale, and a silent auction will offer dozens of tempting items. For more information, visit www.pesartgarden.org.
