ASTON — Rebounding — quite literally — off a tough loss to West Chester Rustin, the Unionville girls basketball picked up a big win on the road, Thursday night, beating red-hot Sun Valley, 45-38.

The Indians improved their record to 6-4 overall and 2-2 in Chest-Mont American play.  Freshman Alison Lewis converted back to back layups on two possessions late in the game to put the indians up 41-32.  Moira McEvoy led the team in scoring with 16 points.  Susie Pancoast added 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Lewis also added 10 points.

As has been the case of late, Unionville found itself in a tough, close game. The game was tied at halftime 16-16.  The Indians rebounded from a tough loss at Rustin while Sun Valley had won 4 of their last 5 games including a win over Rustin.  The Indians square off against the Braves of Octorara next Tuesday.
