Are you really what you drive?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Does the car you drive reflect your sense of style?<\/p>\n

One could make an argument for it, certainly.\u00a0 But, truth be told, I\u2019m not that much of a car fanatic.<\/p>\n

You know how some people are extremely knowledgeable about what brand\/make\/model is the \u201cbest?\u201d\u00a0 (Exhibit A: my brother-in-law)<\/p>\n

I\u2019m\u00a0 NOT one of those people.<\/p>\n

Are you surprised?<\/p>\n

I can see that. Because, I am a self-proclaimed label addict (was going to insert a more colorful term, but, keepin\u2019 it PG, people).<\/p>\n

You need to understand that I have driven a multitude of unsophisticated (bordering on the embarrassing) vehicles over the years.\u00a0 I, just recently, abandoned my big (dirt-infested) minivan of 12 years for a \u201cvintage\u201d-ish Mercedes that I\u2019ve named \u201cMargo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Seems Margo has a mind of her own, in that early Friday morning (at my 6am Spin class), she decided to refuse to let me close the trunk:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Yes, that\u2019s a bungee holding things together.\u00a0 Hot, I know.<\/p>\n

A few hours and THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of needed repairs later, the nice man at the Mercedes Dealership was kind enough to loan me a car for the weekend.<\/p>\n

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!\u00a0 (Gasping intake of breath) HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!<\/p>\n

Yeah, I may not be a car aficionado, but, I\u2019m sure as hell NOT driving that out of here.<\/p>\n

Option B:<\/p>\n

AWWWWWWWW, yeah!<\/p>\n

I feel SO awesome in this car…BUT, there is one little, tiny glitch in the awesomeness\u2026<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This is on the back window of the car.\u00a0 And, it\u2019s stuck on there REAL good.\u00a0 Trust me.\u00a0 It may as well have a bumper sticker on it that says, \u201cthis is NOT my car\u201d.<\/p>\n

Wah, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.<\/p>\n

I know that people judge others for the type of vehicle they drive.\u00a0 So, what does your car say about you?<\/p>\n

MINE says that it\u2019s as high maintenance and expensive as I am.\u00a0 And, that it may or may not want to cooperate nicely.\u00a0 And, that is clearly needs \u201cwork\u201d to try to stay young.\u00a0 LOTS of work.<\/p>\n

My children are THRILLED with this rental and (particularly) my older son would like to have this as an option when he turns 16.<\/p>\n

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!\u00a0 (Again with the bent-over kind of hysterics)<\/p>\n

This, my friends, will NEVER happen.<\/p>\n

I think that it is character building to drive a less than optimal car when you are young\u2026.otherwise, what do you have to look forward to?<\/p>\n

Plus, if my boys parallel park anything like their mother, an expensive vehicle is not a good first choice.<\/p>\n

I get to drive the sleek, black, panther-like 2012 until Monday or Tuesday at which point Margo should be finished with her repairs and this Cinderella-like carriage turns back into a pumpkin.<\/p>\n

Until then, judge me for my car.<\/p>\n
