Unionville sophomore Allison Lewis hit a buzzer beater to lift the Indians<\/p><\/div>\n

KENNETT SQUARE-The season has clearly not gone exactly according to plan for Unionville coach Tony Zambino and his very talented squad, and true to the Jeckyl and Hyde form that has become their \u201cM.O.\u201d this season, the Indians needed a buzzer beater by sophomore guard Allison Lewis to rally past Kennett and emerge with a 34-32 win.<\/p>\n

Lewis, who finished with 17 points and ten boards, snagged a rebound of a missed shot and handled the ball the length of the court before launching the game winner lifting Unionville (8-4 league, 15-7 overall) to a much needed Ches-Mont victory.<\/p>\n

The Indians erased two six point lead by Kennett and\u00a0 finished the game on a 15-7 run to narrowly escape Kennett Square with a hard fought win.<\/p>\n

Also for the Indians, Janice Hauck added eight points and six steals, while Sophie du Phily led the Blue Demons (1-11, 4-18) with 11 points.<\/p>\n

KENNETT SQUARE– All season there has been two names that opposing coaches have marked very clearly on the depth when facing the Blue Demons, and on Friday there was very little deviation to that script as Unionville visited Kennett.<\/p>\n

That being said, it\u2019s easier said than done when you are talking about trying to contain Blue Demons young guns Vaughn Jenkins and Maalik Rochester, who a week ago scored 39 points in one game.<\/p>\n

Fueled by Rochester (10 points overall) and Jenkins, who posted a game high 15 points, Kennett (6-6, 14-8) built a 27-20 edge prior to the intermission, but saw that lead quickly evaporate in the clutches of a 14-4 run by the Indians as the final period commenced.<\/p>\n

Unionville junior Tom Pancoast's leadership on the grid iron has translated to the hardwood.<\/p><\/div>\n

Jenkins (nine points) and Spencer Hyland (seven points, 12 overall) keyed a fourth-quarter rally, in which the Blue Demons forced seven turnovers as Kennett posted a 20-12 period en route to a big Ches-Mont League win.<\/p>\n

For the Indians, Tom Pancoast netted nine points to lead all Unionville scorers who fell to 2-10 in the division.<\/p>\n
