John H. and Barbara W. Martin.\u00a0 He graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1950 with a BS in chemistry, then attained a PhD in analytical chemistry from Pennsylvania State University in 1953.\u00a0 After working at the DuPont Company Experimental Station for five years, he left to found, along with Frank Martinez and Eugene Bennett, F&amp;M Scientific Corporation; specializing in the design and manufacture of analytical instruments known as gas chromatographs.<\/p>\n<p>While engaged in many philanthropic activities, the biggest donations of Aaron\u2019s time and money went to Franklin and Marshall College, Messiah College, Chester County Community Foundation, YMCA of Brandywine Valley, and the Kennett Library.\u00a0 He also funded the startup and development of many small businesses. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>He enjoyed music, reading, woodworking, science, good conversation, and playing bridge with his friends in the Nine Man Bridge Club.
