A hastily texted \u201cTY\u201d, an emoji of a happy face, upfolded hands, or my favorite the Giant Thumb up are used instead! And, of course, oftentimes followed by the ever popular and overused # (HASHTAG) \u201cBlessed\u201d will find its way into the text.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Unionville-Chads Ford Superintendent of Schools John Sanville talked a bit about how much things have changed for the members of the class since they were elementary school students \u2014 something brought into clear focus when seniors went back to visit their elementary schools and a found a school that might have seemed much smaller than it was when they attended. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Moving onto a wider world of college and careers, he noted, will be another new point of view.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cYou will leave here today with a new perspective,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Graduating seniors Taylor Thornton, Ashley Mannello and Gavin Brezski all spokes of their years in the district, the friends they made and hopes for life after high school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">World Languages teacher Veronique Lesko was honored as the UHS educator of the year.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Mike McGann, Editor, The Times NEWARK, Del. \u2014 Gratitude, remembrance and adapting to the change of perspective that comes with growing up were central themes by speakers during Tuesday\u2019s 95th Commencement for Unionville High School, held at the Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware.
