La La Land!\u201d In a head-to-head technical and current event knowledge showdown, the three Technical College High School (TCHS) campuses faced off at the annual TCHS Tech Bowl on Thursday, February 2.<\/p>\n<p>Teams from TCHS Brandywine, Pickering and Pennock\u2019s Bridge competed in the quiz-bowl event, answering questions related to the school\u2019s Health Career Pathways, Carpentry and Early Childhood Care and Education programs, as well as current events. In the end, TCHS Pickering was crowned the winner of the 2017 Tech Bowl. TCHS Pickering also came home with the Health Career Pathways, Carpentry and Current Events wins, while TCHS Pennock\u2019s Bridge took home the trophy in the Early Childhood Care and Education category.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Students from all three schools prepared by studying every spare moment, both at lunch and after school. \u201cThe students stayed after school and spent their lunches in my room and we reviewed and practiced for about two weeks,\u201d says TCHS Pickering coach, Heather Mulford. \u201cThey were so dedicated that we even held a Sunday practice at my house!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Tech Bowl inspires friendly competition among the three TCHS campuses, allows for students to show off their knowledge in a unique way and helps students prepare for the NOCTI exam. &#8220;Every year, students look forward for the chance at winning one of the trophies to display at our campus,\u201d said TCHS Pickering assistant principal Richard Weber. \u201cWe are so proud of our program winners and we thank all the participants who made Tech Bowl a winning experience for everyone.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>DOWNINGTOWN \u2014 \u201cHippocrates!
