To The Editor,<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"letters1\"<\/a>Eric Roe\u00a0will\u00a0make an outstanding State Representative for us in the 158th<\/sup>\u00a0Legislative District. He\u2019s one of the hardest working men I know, and he\u2019ll\u00a0work\u00a0tirelessly\u00a0for the residents of the 158th<\/sup>\u00a0in Harrisburg.\u00a0He\u2019s got the work ethic, the skill\u00a0sets, the\u00a0private sector\u00a0experience and the professional acumen to be an effective advocate for families and seniors. He values women and children, immigrants, victims of crime, and the vulnerable in our society.\u00a0Eric sees the good in\u00a0people and treats them as if that\u2019s\u00a0all he sees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Eric serves on the Board of Directors of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County.\u00a0It serves thousands who\u00a0seek refuge, and Eric helps steer the organization in the right direction. That\u2019s not easy, considering how\u00a0its\u00a0state funding was held\u00a0hostage\u00a0during the recent budget impasse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has taught\u00a0ESL\u00a0and a citizenship class for legal immigrants in Kennett Square\u00a0and\u00a0uses his Spanish language skills to help newcomers to our community.\u00a0His own wife is an immigrant to the United States.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Perhaps most of all, Eric values women. Not only does he serve on the board of the Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, but he\u00a0and his wife, Alice, also support and volunteer for\u00a0Chester County Women\u2019s Services, a crisis pregnancy center with locations throughout the county. He often refers to his mother, QVC host Mary Beth Roe, as his hero for balancing professional success with a strong family life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, he\u2019s\u00a0a class act\u00a0who works\u00a0hard.\u00a0His\u00a0age is an asset, not a liability.\u00a0His energy and enthusiasm are unparalleled. Eric has already\u00a0knocked on over\u00a09,000\u00a0doors this year, and you\u00a0should see him on the rare occasion that\u00a0a voter tells him\u00a0they\u2019re supporting his opponent. He never says a negative thing about her, and he even takes the time to compliment her. I know this because I’ve gone door knocking with him. In an otherwise\u00a0heated\u00a0election\u00a0cycle in 2016, where political rhetoric has reached a fever pitch, Eric is a breath of fresh air.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m a values voter, and\u00a0I\u2019m voting for Eric Roe for State Representative.<\/span><\/p>\n
