{"id":29840,"date":"2016-05-31T09:21:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-31T13:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/?p=29840"},"modified":"2016-05-31T09:46:08","modified_gmt":"2016-05-31T13:46:08","slug":"obituaries-luke-anthony-baccino","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/?p=29840","title":{"rendered":"Obituaries: Luke Anthony Baccino"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_731\" style=\"width: 228px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-731\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-731\" src=\"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/scanlukebaccino0001-218x300.jpg\" alt=\"Luke Anthony Baccino\" width=\"218\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-731\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Luke Anthony Baccino<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Luke Anthony Baccino passed peacefully from this world at home on May 28, 2016, surrounded by all his loving family.\u00a0 He was 3.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Luke\u2019s infectious smile brought joy and happiness to all who saw it, whether it was family in everyday visits or strangers at the mall or supermarket.\u00a0 No one could pass by Luke without returning a smile of their own.\u00a0 There was hardly ever a moment when Luke was not happy and smiling and one\u2019s day would always brighten upon just seeing him.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Luke had a wonderful sparkiness about him and would always tell you what was on his mind and what he wanted and when.\u00a0 Nothing held him back.\u00a0 His creativity and desire to be the center of attention was never clearer than when he choreographed his own dance routine while also singing along with his most cherished \u201cFrosty the Snowman\u201d singing Christmas card.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Luke\u2019s family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Walter, his team, and all the wonderful nurses at A. I. DuPont Hospital and Dr. Robert Lustig and all the wonderful nurses of the Roberts Proton Therapy Center at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.\u00a0 All the medical professionals who cared for Luke during his battle treated him so compassionately like a member of their own families and cannot be thanked enough for all they did for Luke and his family.\u00a0 Luke embraced his caretakers and the countless trips to the hospitals and actually looked forward to seeing them there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Luke is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Melinda Baccino and brother Cole, of Landenberg; Godparents Erik West of Wilmington and Marilyn Baiardi of West Chester; grandparents Janet Baccino of Kennett Square; Linda Pizzini of Kennett Square; and Sonny and Gloria Pizzini of Landenberg; Uncle Ron Pizzini and his wife, Kathy, of Landenberg; Uncle Lee Pizzini and his wife, Joan, of Landenberg; and cousins R. J., Jacqueline, Nathan, Alexa, and Sara.\u00a0 He was predeceased by his grandfather Frank Baccino and his Aunt Jacqueline Baccino.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">You are invited to visit with Luke\u2019s family and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, June 5, 2016, at the Kuzo &amp; Grieco Funeral Home, 250 W. State Street, Kennett Square, PA and again on Monday morning, June 6, 2016, at St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Church, 8910 Gap Newport Pike (Route 41), Avondale, PA, beginning at 10:00 a.m.\u00a0 Luke\u2019s funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church.\u00a0 Burial will be in St. Patrick\u2019s Cemetery, Route 82, Kennett Square, PA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation in Luke\u2019s memory to the Nemours\/Alfred I.
