\"Logo-TaxSlayer-Bowl\"<\/a>While Penn State fans might have been disappointed by the outcome of the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville, the Unionville High School Marching Band came home with a great deal to brag about.<\/p>\n

The band won First Place, overall band and Grand Champions, competing against bands from around the nation, all in town to perform at the nationally-televised college football bowl game. As Grand Champions, Unionville performed prior to the game alone \u2014 a special honor for the winner, plus will be bringing home a $10,000 check. Unionville and nine other bands also performed at halftime of the game, featuring Penn State versus Georgia.<\/p>\n

The band won the Class A Field Show competition, sweeping all captions in Class A, including High Percussion, High Color Guard, High Drum Major, High Music High Overall Effect and High Visual.<\/p>\n

The band was welcomed home with a fire truck salute and escort, Sunday.<\/p>\n
