Also pictured are, from left to right: Chester County Commissioner Kathi Cozzone; Becky Brain, Communications Coordinator; Sue Morris, E-Communications Specialist; Mark Rupsis, Chief Operating Officer; and Commissioner Terence Farrell.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>WEST CHESTER \u2014 Chester County\u2019s website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chesco.org\">www.chesco.org<\/a>, received top state-wide honors with the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) naming it a winner in its 2014 Excellence in Website Awards.\u00a0 \u00a0The award, for website in first-to-third class counties, was presented to Chester County at the CCAP annual conference in Lancaster this week.<\/p>\n<p>In presenting the award, CCAP\u2019s first vice president, Craig Lehman, noted Chester County\u2019s website design, its up-to-date content and user-friendly navigation as some of the reasons for the award.\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Commenting on news of the award, Chester County Commissioner Terence Farrell said:\u00a0 \u201cSince the website redesign a few years ago, we have worked to improve and enhance the content and features of Chesco.org \u2013 updating the site daily, and continually expanding and adding new features that simplify processes and save users time and effort.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCounty employees within many of our departments work with our communications team to keep information topical and relevant,\u201d said Commissioner Kathi Cozzone.\u00a0 \u201cIt\u2019s great to see their efforts rewarded with this accolade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chester County\u2019s website receives more than 125,000 site visits every month and provides valuable information on all County services \u2013 from Health services like immunization clinics, and details of County parks and trails, to how and where to vote, what to do if you\u2019re called for Jury Duty, online payment options and crucial emergency services information.<\/p>\n<p>Chester County\u2019s mobile app, ChescoConnect, was launched earlier this year and supports the County\u2019s main website with information formatted for hand-held devices.\u00a0 Features of the Mobile App include job listings, emergency alerts, a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions that cover every aspect of Chester County government, and an interactive restaurant inspections button, giving the latest Health Department reports on food establishments throughout the county.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WEST CHESTER \u2014 Chester County\u2019s website, www.chesco.org, received top state-wide honors with the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) naming it a winner in its 2014 Excellence in Website Awards.\u00a0 \u00a0The award, for website in first-to-third class counties, was presented to Chester County at the CCAP annual conference in Lancaster this week.
