Ellen was fab, night was too long and who wears shorts to the Oscars?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

My Oscar 2014 Re-cap:<\/p>\n

Ellen was HILARIOUS!\u00a0 I loved the pizza delivery bit and the selfie photo.\u00a0 She kept things upbeat and moving in an impossibly long schedule of presentations.\u00a0 WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE FOUR HOURS?\u00a0 I DO NOT CARE ONE BIT ABOUT EDITING, SHORT FILM, FOREIGN FILM, OR TECHNICAL CRAP.\u00a0 I\u2019m pretty sure that I am not in the minority on that point.<\/p>\n

\"Kelly1\"<\/a>These ladies killed it on the carpet!\u00a0 Interesting that none of them chose color, opting instead for shades of white or cream.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard for me to pick a #1 here\u2026.but, if forced, I would have to go with Kate Hudson. She is irritatingly flawless.\u00a0 I loved, loved, loved Cate Blanchett (although, would have suggested a different earring) and Naomi\u2019s black shoes and clutch with her ivory dress looked so chic.
\n\u00a0<\/span>
\n\"Kelly2\"<\/a>Exactly the opposite was true for my Best Dressed Men\u2026they embraced color!\u00a0 Jason Sudeikis in a deep navy blue and Chris Hemsworth in a rich merlot were a welcome change to the traditional black tux.\u00a0 Of course, I had to throw Bradley in for good measure.\u00a0 The man could wear a trash bag and still make my list.\u00a0 Dreamy.
\n\u00a0<\/span>
\n\"Kelly3\"<\/a>I might get some disagreements for this\u2026.but these ladies were the \u201cMost Overrated\u201d, in my opinion.\u00a0 Charlize has a ridiculously perfect body in this dress, but I HATE the bodice!\u00a0 It is so unflattering and strange.\u00a0 The invisible straps were awful.\u00a0 If it would have been a simple strapless number, she may have been my Best Dressed.\u00a0 Lupita.\u00a0 Her skin is like coco butter.\u00a0 She looked GORGEOUS in that sky blue.<\/p>\n

HOWEVER.<\/p>\n

This dress was CUSTOM MADE for her by Prada.\u00a0 Did they not notice that Luptia is somewhat less than voluptuous on top?\u00a0 The plunge was a little too plunge-y.\u00a0 Why would they highlight her skeletal torso?\u00a0 It looked like a chicken carcass.\u00a0 Since I\u2019m on a tear, I will throw in that I wasn\u2019t digging the headband either.\u00a0 A headband\u2019s function is to keep hair out of your face.\u00a0 Her head is shaved on the sides.\u00a0 The accessory was lost on me.<\/p>\n

\"Kelly4\"<\/a>Jennifer.\u00a0 She is cute.\u00a0 Was the tripping on the carpet staged?\u00a0 I hope not\u2026but, maybe she should spend some time practicing yoga\u2026young people shouldn\u2019t have such imbalance issues.\u00a0 Her dress this year was blah.\u00a0 It was red, which is a good color for her, but she wore red to last year\u2019s Oscars!\u00a0 (And lost!)\u00a0 Maybe I have been a basketball mom too long and have too many superstitions when it comes to competition\u2026but, if I lost in red, I sure wouldn\u2019t wear it again the following year!\u00a0 Right?\u00a0 Anyway, I love her hair short but am not a fan of the slicked back style.\u00a0 I prefer her hair with a deep part and tousled.\u00a0 It looks young and fresh like that.

\n\"Kelly5\"<\/a>The Worst Dressed.\u00a0 Yes, yes you DO see Angelina in the top left corner.\u00a0 That gown was matronly and ill-fitting and not worthy of Mrs. Pitt.\u00a0 I was shaking my head about it for days.\u00a0 WHO PUT THAT ON HER?\u00a0 And, where was Brad when she said \u201cHoney, does this look good?\u201d\u00a0 Liza.\u00a0 Oh dear.\u00a0 She looked like a Smurf.\u00a0 Whoopi.\u00a0 She looked like she came dressed from The View in her too big oxford shirt and wrapped a piece of black fabric around herself.\u00a0 Anna Kendrick.\u00a0 Eeeek.\u00a0 Too much going on and none of it was good.<\/p>\n

Bette.\u00a0 The dress was hideous and the Wind Beneath My Wings (complete with dramatic waving) was 10 minutes that could have been edited.\u00a0 Sorry.\u00a0 Is that callous? Pharrell.\u00a0 Shorts?\u00a0 To the OSCARS?\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 Stupid.<\/p>\n

Well, there you have it!\u00a0 My opinion on Hollywood\u2019s Big Night!\u00a0 Who made YOUR Best\/Worst Dressed lists?<\/p>\n
