A demonstration of pot-throwing at Charles Metzger Pottery will be one of the Friday Art Stroll activities in Kennett Square.<\/p><\/div>\n

Historic Kennett Square celebrates the month of March with its Art Stroll on Friday, March 7, from 6 to 9 p.m. The public is invited to visit a variety of independently-owned shops, galleries, and restaurants and enjoy special exhibits, delicious food, and refreshments throughout the downtown area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The highlights include:<\/p>\n

Mala Galleria<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is celebrating art inspired by Dr. Seuss with\u00a0\u201dOne Fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish\u2026\u201d ceramics by Meghan Bergman,\u00a0Dr. Seuss-inspired hats by\u00a0Milica Schiavio and\u00a0new artwork by Judy Goodkind and\u00a0David Dziemian. In honor of Dr. Seuss\u2019 penchant for hats, the gallery is hosting a contest on Friday. Wear your best or funniest hat, and get photographed; the best hat will win a prize.<\/p>\n

Longwood Art Gallery<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is featuring wine, cheese, music and the gicl\u00e9es of Peter Sculthorpe, including previews of new releases. The show runs through March 29.<\/p>\n

<\/b>Center For Vibrant Living<\/b><\/a>\u00a0is open this Friday\u00a0with mixed media by Krystina Benedetti and mosaic art by Jackie Davis, live music by Stefan Wolfe,\u00a0<\/b>refreshments, and free 10-minute relaxing and immune-boosting BioMat sessions.<\/p>\n

Bayard Taylor Library\u00a0<\/b><\/a>will be hosting a program on \u201cEdible Ornamental Plants\u201d on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.\u00a0Pandora Young, senior gardener at Longwood Gardens, will discuss some of her favorite edible trees, shrubs, perennials and vines for the home gardener.\u00a0 Join her to sample unusual plants, fruit teas, and seeds and learn different ways to incorporate these garden treats into your next feast.<\/p>\n

Flickerwood Wine Cellar<\/b><\/a>\u00a0will present a Mardi Gras party with live music by Cork Screwed Blues,\u00a0<\/b>free beads, masks, and slushies from\u00a07 to 10:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Charles Metzger Pottery<\/b><\/a>\u00a0will be\u00a0serving hot cider and snacks and demonstrating throwing pots on the potter\u2019s wheel\u00a0for First Friday.<\/p>\n

The Market at Liberty Place<\/b><\/a>\u00a0will host\u00a0Dave Renz performing jazz from 6 to 9 p.m. with happy hour specials.<\/p>\n
