\"cache_2864652704\"<\/a>If you spot artists with their easels in fields or along roadsides next Friday or Saturday, they are probably participating in Paint-Out Chadds Ford – and will likely be shivering if weather forecasts prove accurate.<\/p>\n

The Chadds Ford Historical Society is hosting the Sixth Annual Winter Plein Air event featuring numerous juried artists from the Mid-Atlantic region. General admission festivities will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.\u00a0The $10 per-person ticket price includes a wine and cheese reception with the artists and an opportunity to purchase work so new that it may still be wet, a news release said.<\/p>\n

For those who want to get first crack at the selection, an exclusive preview party will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. A $50 ticket admits up to two people, and $25 can be applied toward an art purchase, the release said.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Paint-Out Chadds Ford art exhibition will continue through March 16 at the Barn Visitors Center and the paintings will be available for sale during that time. Some of the many artists include Garry Pendleton, Jacalyn Beam, Jeanne Kirby Bruneau, Mary Rinderle Smith, Bruno Baran, Jim Rehak, Jane Ramsey, Mark Coates, David Diaz, Stewart White, Perry Kapsch, Valerie Craig, Ann Crostic, Alison Menke, and Lynn Mehta.<\/p>\n

This year accepted artists can bring three additional paintings that are painted “en Plein Air” that represent scenes from the Brandywine Valley.\u00a0Special programming and an educational series will be linked to the Plein Air event, giving artists more exposure in the community.
