ASTON \u2014 It may have started slow, but once the Unionville High School football team’s offense got rolling, there was not stopping it.<\/p>\n

The Indians (3-1) cruised to an easy win over Sun Valley, 38-13, to open the defense of their 2012 Ches-Mont American Division title, Friday night.<\/p>\n

Although an impressive 41-yard Alex Pechin field goal gave Unionville a 3-0 lead at the end of one quarter, Pechin \u2014 also the starting quarterback \u2014 got things moving in the second quarter, and once things got rolling, the Vanguards (2-2) couldn’t find an answer.<\/p>\n

Pechin hit Chris Koehler from 28 yards out \u2014 capping a quick 60-drive in the opening minutes of the quarter. With the extra point, the Indians grabbed a 10-0 lead.<\/p>\n

In the closing minutes \u2014 after taking over the ball on it’s own 18, Unionville quickly marched down the field, scoring again with less than a minute left, this time on a Pechin pass to David Daly. With the extra point, the Indians had a solid 17-0 lead at the half.<\/p>\n

Unionville struck again in the opening minutes of the third quarter, with Garrett Scargill capping a 57-yard drive, by powering the ball in from 28 yards out, with the extra point, Unionville lead 24-0. Later in the quarter,\u00a0 Austin Hoffman-Reardon \u2014 who rushed for 117 yards in the game \u2014 scored from 20-yards out to give Unionville a commanding 31-0 lead going into the final quarter. Hoffam-Reardon added another scoring run to cap the night for the Indians’ offense.<\/p>\n
