Local painter will provide live coverage of “Bam” Margera’s punk-rockers<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Brandon “Bam” Margera will be accompanied on his global music tour by John Hannafin, a West Chester artist.<\/p><\/div>\n

The unconventional antics of Pocopson Township\u2019s Brandon \u201cBam\u201d Margera, a former skateboarder whose \u201cJackass\u201d stunts on MTV catapulted him to celebrity status, are moving overseas temporarily as the legendary stuntman – who also dabbles in art and music – takes his punk rock band on another global tour.<\/p>\n

This time, to the delight of West Chester painter John Hannafin, Margera\u2019s entertainment will include \u201cperformance art.\u201d Hannafin said he was invited to accompany the entourage and will provide live art coverage of Margera\u2019s \u201cwhirling dervish of punk and rap music, including outrageous stunts by members of the Jackass and CKY crew.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hannafin said the adventure would begin next week in Austria, where he expects to paint the crew in front of Mozart\u2019s house. The itinerary also includes multiple venues in England, Scotland, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway, he said.<\/p>\n

Hannafin met Margera a little over a year ago when he attended an art opening the MTV star had at a Philadelphia gallery. Hannafin said he had always been a fan but was particularly motivated to support the event because Margera had purchased one of his paintings. He said the two learned they had much in common and quickly became friends and art partners, leading to several collaborations.<\/p>\n
