KENNTT SQUARE \u2014 The public is invited to an opening night reception on Friday March 4 from 6 to 9 pm at The Paper Market Eco Boutique, 106 W. State Street in Kennett Square.<\/p>\n
The show features mixed media, watercolors and oil pastels by Unionville artist Charlene Thomforde. It coincides with the March \u201cFirst Friday\u201d program hosted by the merchants of downtown Kennett Square and will remain on view through the end of March.\u00a0 The show marks the beginning of the 2011 series of changing exhibits featuring works by Kennett area artists.
\nMs. Thomforde was trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and studied with the late Rea Redifer. She received a BFA in graphic design with certification in Art Education grades K-12\u00a0 from the Tyler School of Art. She attends workshops and life drawing sessions and is a member of the Howard Pyle Studio Group in Wilmington, DE.\u00a0 Her work has been shown at the
\nChester County Art Association, Salon Des Amis in Yellow Springs, PA, Brush and Palette in Kennett Square, The Chadds Ford Historical Society, and The Howard Pyle Studio Gallery.
