Schoch said in a news release.\u00a0 \u201cThere are steps that you can take today to become an organ donor and potentially save a life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To add the organ donor designation to an existing driver\u2019s license or identification card, visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dmv.state.pa.us\/\">www.dmv.state.pa.us<\/a> and select the \u201cDonate Life Pennsylvania\u201d icon at the bottom of the page. Once the designation is added, individuals will receive a designation card that they will have to carry with them to affirm organ donor status until they renew or replace their driver\u2019s license or identification card. There is no charge for adding the designation.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Nearly 46 percent of driver\u2019s license and identification card holders are registered organ donors \u2013 that\u2019s more than 4.4 million Pennsylvanians.
