Unionville High’s Jazz Band will perform at the high school, where it will host “Jazz Along the Brandywine” on April 5.<\/p><\/div>\n

Unionville High to host 15th annual ‘Jazz Along the Brandywine’

Hot music and cool improvisation will combine to warm up the crowd as Unionville High School hosts the 15th annual \u201cJazz Along the Brandywine\u201d festival on Friday, April 5.<\/p>\n

Starting at 6 p.m., top area bands will demonstrate their finesse with a variety of styles, ranging from soul to swing to samba.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s a fun evening for the audience,\u201d says G. Scott Litzenberg, director of Unionville High School\u2019s jazz band. \u201cSome amazingly talented kids will be performing. It\u2019s always exciting to hear the improv solos they come up with.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unionville High’s Jazz Band, which delighted crowds in Downtown Disney in January, will showcase its swing for local audiences on April 5 for “Jazz Along the Brandywine.”<\/p><\/div>\n

This year\u2019s participants are Charles F. Patton Middle School and the following high schools: Radnor, Lower Merion, Upper Darby, Methacton, Rustin, Ridley, Marple Newtown, West Chester East, Souderton, and Springfield (Montco). The evening concludes with an exhibition performance by the Unionville High School Jazz Band, followed by an awards ceremony.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $8 for adults; $6 for students and seniors 60 and over; and free for ages 5 and under. Food will be available for purchase. For more information, visit \u00a0www.cavalcadeofbands<\/a>.<\/p>\n
