Celebrating the Irish doesn’t mean celebrating tacky<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"UTNuKellyColumn\"<\/a>St. Patrick\u2019s Day is coming up.\u00a0 Let\u2019s chat about what to wear\u2026.but, more importantly, what NOT to wear\u2026.<\/p>\n

\"Kelly1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The theme t-shirt is a NO-NO (unless you are in second grade and pair it with pigtails tied with a green ribbon).\u00a0 As an adult, you look like you have loose morals and\/or a drinking problem.<\/p>\n

Flashing \u201cIrish in a Flash\u201d earrings.\u00a0 I don\u2019t even know where to start.\u00a0 This one leads me to believe that the woman wearing such an accessory can\u2019t be saved.\u00a0 That is a negative attitude\u2026.but, I mean\u2026..<\/p>\n

The plastic tiara.\u00a0 While I DO love anything Kate Middleton inspired, I\u2019m thinking that leaving this to the \u201c10 and under\u201d crowd is your best bet.<\/p>\n

Overall, I do not feel it necessary to WEAR green on St. Patrick\u2019s Day.\u00a0 In fact, I think that it\u2019s kind of stupid.\u00a0 But, I have a reputation (that I vehemently deny) of being a buzz-kill.\u00a0 To counteract that rumor, I think that this cocktail would be LOVELY to sip and feel Irish on the 17th<\/sup>:<\/p>\n

6 mint leaves<\/p>\n

1 oz. soda<\/p>\n

Garnish with mint sprigs<\/p>\n

Source-Absolut Vodka<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Just be careful that after a few, you aren\u2019t tempted to wear any of the aforementioned items.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s talk about how to look cute (and fashionable)\u2026.<\/p>\n

You know that I couldn\u2019t do a post without at least one Tory Burch fantasy item (Tory, can you hear me?).\u00a0 The earrings are TO DIE FOR.\u00a0 True\u2026they do not light up and can\u2019t be found in aisle 7 at Walmart and they cost as much as your electric bill, but, they are A-MAZING.<\/p>\n

You know I love me some nail polish!\u00a0 The green is cute (on other people).\u00a0 I try.\u00a0 I just can\u2019t get past that it looks like a fungus.\u00a0 BUT, in the name of fun (because I\u2019m all about fun), this is acceptable as your St. Patty\u2019s Day \u201cgreen\u201d.<\/p>\n

What I prefer is a cute sweater with jeans and a sparkly clutch.\u00a0 We\u2019re not talking about a sweater with a large embroidered shamrock in the middle (let\u2019s not be cuckoo).<\/p>\n

SEE?\u00a0 I AM fun!\u00a0 Must be my Irish heritage shining through.<\/p>\n
