{"id":13860,"date":"2013-02-14T12:17:36","date_gmt":"2013-02-14T17:17:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/?p=13860"},"modified":"2013-02-14T15:27:01","modified_gmt":"2013-02-14T20:27:01","slug":"birmingham-to-honor-bush-pheaner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/?p=13860","title":{"rendered":"Birmingham to honor Bush, Phreaner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><em><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Township plans plaques for township officials who died in 2012<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><strong>By Liz Brown<\/strong>, <span style=\"font-size: x-small;\"><em>Staff Writer, The Times<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_13867\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/SandyHollow.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-13867\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13867\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin: 4px;\" alt=\"SandyHollow\" src=\"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/SandyHollow-300x283.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"283\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-13867\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sandy Hollow in Birmingham, where township officials plan to honor to long-time volunteers for the township.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>BIRMINGHAM \u2014 Two prominent township officials will be memorialized in the Birmingham Hill and Sandy Hollow.\u00a0 Recreation, Parks and Open Space committee member, Jim Phreaner, who passed suddenly in December, and Supervisor Al Bush, who passed in August, will have plaques created in their honor and affixed to benches in the parks.<\/p>\n<p>RPOS committee members Anne Seimer and Jim Rosenthal proposed the plaque for their fellow committee member, who worked very hard during his time on the board to bring the township\u2019s parks to the community.\u00a0 Supervisors John Conklin and Scott Boorse approved the recommendation.\u00a0 William Kirkpatrick was absent from the meeting.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Conklin brought up the fact that something should also be done to memorialize Al Bush. \u201cAl dedicated 25 years of his life to service of the township,\u201d he stated, and should also be honored.
