{"id":1041,"date":"2010-12-13T10:26:50","date_gmt":"2010-12-13T15:26:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/unionvilletimes.com\/?p=1041"},"modified":"2010-12-13T10:26:50","modified_gmt":"2010-12-13T15:26:50","slug":"longwood-fc-helps-santa-make-the-rounds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/?p=1041","title":{"rendered":"Longwood FC helps Santa make the rounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">Fire company give St. Nick a &#8216;lift&#8217; for tour of local neighborhoods<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1043\" style=\"width: 277px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/LongwoodSanta2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1043\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1043 \" style=\"border: 2px solid navy; margin: 4px;\" title=\"LongwoodSanta2\" src=\"http:\/\/unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/LongwoodSanta2-267x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"267\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1043\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Santa Claus gets a lift from the Longwood Fire Company as he takes time out to say hello to local kids.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>POCOPSON \u2014 Although it\u2019s his busy time of the year, Santa Claus took time out this weekend to enjoy his annual ride with his good friends of the Longwood Fire Company.<\/p>\n<p>Hoisted on top of Ladder 25, Jolly Old St. Nick waved and smiled \u2014 and told kids all over the Unionville area that \u201che\u2019d seeing them soon, again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although he and the elves are, obviously very busy, Santa always takes time out to enjoy a local tour, having been sighted in East Marlborough and Pennsbury on Saturday and then in Pocopson and Kennett on Sunday.<!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1042\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/LongwodSanta.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1042\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1042 \" style=\"border: 2px solid navy; margin: 4px;\" title=\"LongwodSanta\" src=\"http:\/\/unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/LongwodSanta-300x219.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"219\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1042\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ladder 25 was turned out in fine form, letting kids know Santa is on the way with a loud siren and flashing lights.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Kids of all ages emerged from their homes \u2014 and firefighters were on hand to offer special candy canes to the kids.
