margin: 4px;\" title=\"states2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states22-223x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"223\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states22-223x300.jpg 223w, https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states22-74x100.jpg 74w, https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states22.jpg 757w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 223px) 100vw, 223px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-10381\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Indians offense exploded for 11 runs against the Titans<\/p><\/div>\n<p>With the four game pool play format of the tournament, Parise was aware that a loss against the Titans meant that the hopes of a state title would probably wilt like the grass getting pounded by the sweltering heat as the mercury eclipsed the century mark.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe knew we couldn\u2019t lose again today, that would have made it really tough to come came tomorrow,\u201d said the Unionville Elementary third grader. \u201cWe just went back to our hotel, swam a little, ate and got cool, which really made the difference.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI used my fastball on most of my pitches, it was important to throw strikes and let my fielder make the plays,\u201d added Parise, whose favorite player is Chase Utley.<\/p>\n<p>Parise was sensational, setting the tone by putting down in order all six batters he faced in his maximum of two inning allowed of pitching, recording two strike outs.<\/p>\n<p>Parise (3-for-3, 2 Runs, 2 RBI) also sparked another aspect of game to the mix in the clash with the Titans, as the Indians offense, which was almost non existent in the earlier debacle, exploded for 11 runs in the four inning mercy rules shortened game.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_10382\" style=\"width: 229px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states31.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10382\" class=\" wp-image-10382 \" style=\"border: 2px solid navy; margin: 4px;\" title=\"states3\" src=\"http:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states31-219x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states31-219x300.jpg 219w, https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states31-73x100.jpg 73w, https:\/\/www.unionvilletimes.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/states31.jpg 743w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 219px) 100vw, 219px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-10382\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Indian catcher jack Zungailia rips a double in the 11-win over Towamencin<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Jack Zungailia, who was noted by coach McClosky a one of those players that always \u201cjust does the right thing\u201d, led the way with a 2-for 3 performance at the plate driving in two runs, smacking a double and scoring two as well, while Anthony Zucchero scored a run and worked two walks.<\/p>\n<p>Grant Hineman also chipped in with 2 RBI of his own on a 1-for 2 game at the plate, scoring twice in the process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was more Unionville baseball,\u201d said head coach George McClosky. \u201cWe just didn\u2019t do anything well in that early game, it\u2019s just one those thing that happens sometimes in eight year old baseball.
